hey is it just me or should we be making a huge fucking deal over tumblr staff deleting a video that debunks IOF propaganda
(and while I’m at it here is the YouTube link to the video also. ive been trying to save/access it in the wayback machine to link that instead for archiving purposes but I’m having difficulties so I’ll try and add it later but if anyone else is able to add it sooner it’s appreciated)
they’ve also taken down this one:
here’s a link to the now removed tumblr video, as posted by @komsomolka
it was never about hamas. not for a single second was any bit of this latest chapter of israels genocide over palestinians about hamas. never let anyone convince you of that. it was about killing people. israel from day one set out to kill palestinian people, as many as possible, and the us happily helped out, approved by media and celebrities and everyone that looked away. internet was cut off for everyone in gaza. we might only find out the horror of whats happening there right now once its way too late to prevent this already incomprehensible terror from growing into something none of us will ever get to walk away from while we’re alive.
People with most mainstream tastes imaginable should not open their mouth on how anti piracy they are btw. Yea no shit you can depend on legal sources to watch Marvel and listen to tswift and Maroon 5. Thank you so much for signing the petition to close that platform that was the only one i could download this 2008 romanian dungeon synth ep from
Cheryl Dunye’s directorial debut, The Watermelon Woman, was out of print between 2000 and 2018. Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace was only available to watch on a pirate channel on YouTube until last year. There is still no way to watch the X-Files spinoff, The Lone Gunmen except to own a dvd box set that has been out of print since 2005. Or to pirate it. It’s on YouTube.
Piracy is incredibly important to keep media that’s weird, or out there or just embarrassing to someone in power, alive. We need piracy and we need to stop being snitches when someone pirates stuff.

More cursed chemistry! Check out this spicy boi:
This is chlorine trifluoride, one of the most reactive, corrosive substances known. This stuff will light asbestos on fire, as well as sand, glass, many metals, and oh, it will also ignite water. Basically if you start a fire with this stuff, your only option is to let it burn out, because anything you put on it will just burn up itself (though if it’s in an enclosed space you can flood the space with like argon or whatever). Apparently a spill of almost a ton of this stuff burned its way through a foot of concrete and 3 feet of gravel before it stopped.

and many others.
It is hypergolic with every known fuel, and so rapidly hypergolic that no ignition delay has ever been measured. It is also hypergolic with such things as cloth, wood, and test engineers,
i was doing a bunch of fact checking earlier and as far as I can tell this is 100% true
which should fucking HORRIFY everybody because white phosphorous is a nasty, cruel and torturous weapon that should never be used against anyone let alone civilians.
basically it burns and burns until there is no more contact with oxygen, so shards of it will burn their way down to bone inside the victim’s body and often re-ignite when doctors try to dig them out. It is easily fatal or permanently disabling and causes excruciating injuries
This is a problem the writers of the Simpsons have had to deal with - the Simpsons are late 80s, early 90s poor. They have two clunker cars, they live in a house that’s old-fashioned and has crappy furniture because they can’t afford to redecorate. Their TV is ancient. Their neighbors have visibly better stuff than they do, and when they shop they have to buy the bargain brands.
But their lifestyle now seems wildly out of reach to most modern kids! They have two cars! A big three bedroom house! Only one of the parents has to work! They have 3 whole children who they can afford to feed and clothe on a single income! It’s an impossible dream life for most people today.
Roshdi Sarraj, the photographer who took this widely shared picture of Israel’s destruction of Gaza, was himself later killed by an Israeli airstrike.
[ID: an instagram post by @/roshdi.sarraj. it is an aerial photo of a part of a city that is in ruins. end ID]
I think nonstop photos of rubble create this unspoken attitude that Gaza (or Ramallah, or Baghdad, or Damascus, or…) is just a wasteland, that nothing of value exists there and nothing is really lost. That it was always rubble anyway. This is maybe the first photo I’ve seen of Gaza City showing that it’s a real city worth calling home, and the destruction hits so much harder like this.
